HOW ADORABLE IS THIS PROJECT... DIRECTIONS TO MAKE IT AT HOME..

Jean Project Coaster (Large)

Next time you go to your favorite restuarant that gives you a coaster for your drink, bring a couple home with you! These are one of my favorite things to collect, they are so versatile and can be used for so many things. Put one through your cutting machine and create your own chipboard embellishments, create a mini album or like here, attach 2 together with hinges and create this adorable little photo display. The possibilities are endless, and best of all, because they're so small they make great use of your scraps!! Have fun!  Jean

COPIC MARKERS 101 - What? How? & Wow
Saturday - August 8th
10:00 am - 12:00 pm
$40.00

Learn about Copic markers, the markers that go way beyond coloring stamped images to cardstock, transparencies and more surfaces than you can imagine.  Learn about the different styles of markers, how the markers work, without the revealing brushstrokes so often associated with marker coloring.  Unlock the secrets to choosing colors for blending and shading.  We will practice four blending techniques and an airbrushing demonstration will also be included with hands-on use as time allows.  Class taught by Sally Lynn MacDonald, National Copic Certification Trainer and Design Team member for Copic / Imagination International.

Copic 102 - Summer Acrylic Album, aka 'Let No Surface Remain UnInked'

 Saturday, August 8th
1:30 PM - 3:30 PM
 $40.00

In this technique-packed workshop we will go beyond the basics to explore using Copic inks and the many surfaces and techniques used to color them.  From layering colors on transparencies, to airbrushing on acrylic as well as coloring 'bling', felt letters, epoxy stickers, ribbon, metal and chipboard, Sally Lynn will guide you through every surface to go way above and beyond stamped images to altering everything. We'll also explore complementary products such as Glimmer Mist and Nestabilities dies.  There are no mistakes in class, only a new and different way to go about a technique.  Come join us for an evening of exploring this wonderful medium and make this fantastic acrylic album with all of the techniques and surfaces we will explore and alter!

What to Bring: 12" Trimmer, Scissors, Wet Adhesive, such as Fabritac or Zip Dry (strongly recommended), red liner tape(a double-sided tape like "Terrifically Tacky Tape"), Sharpie Black marker and a Cropadile if you have one.

HAVE YOU HEARD ABOUT OUR NEW CROP GROUP.........

The Raging Infernos as our girls night out croppers are now called! You are probably saying what? Why is that a name for a group of croppers? As you all know we had our Girls Night Out Crop on Friday night and boy was it a blast! We had a man banging on the door yelling fire, Dee was screaming at everyone to get out of the building and everyone was running out and up the hill through our freshly laid dirt complete with manure compost. Women were scurrying everywhere, fire raging out of a van on the side of the store, fire engine sirens going off and police cars pulling into the parking lot. Boy! some say cropping is boring, not at The Crop Shop where you get a huge crop space, plenty of food and now we have our own entertainment nightly. Here are a few scenes from friday night.

 Fire Fire 4

The entertainment on Saturday, Oh Yes there is more! We are now the proud adoptive parents of The Cropping Chipmunk, he (or she) came to visit us in the store on Saturday night and decided to stay for awhile, and how was your weekend? We would love to hear all about it. Post and let us know!
